چکیده
The yellow-layer soils of the Guabirotuba formation in Brazil are problematic due to their expansive nature and low-bearing capacity. There has been little exploration into stabilizing these using a calcium-based binder. In addition, existing methods for dosing lime fine coarse-grained porosity-to-lime index (η/Liv) have primarily focused on non-optimal compaction conditions determine split tensile compressive strengths empirical relationships between both tests while ignoring study optimal lime-soil mixes conditions. Therefore, objective this research is examine unconfined (qu) (qt) behavior traditional yellow silt stabilized with dolomitic hydrated (L) under standard, intermediate, modified effort correlation qu qt. blends were cured up 180 days, 3-9% percentages used optimum (maximum dry density water content). porosity/lime (η/Liv), semi-empirical index, was utilized investigate evolution qt over short long term. η/Livvaried 6-25% by volume. Furthermore, qt/qu calculated be 0.12-0.20, depending curing time, independent addition used. Equations well-suited power function based time η/Livindex proposed. Finally, some dosages soil-lime mixtures proposed possible applications geotechnical engineering, applying porosity volumetric binder conditions, which had not applied before lime-improved soils. 15 صفحه اولthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
The Effect of Geopolymerization on the Unconfined Compressive Strength of Stabilized Fine-grained Soils
This study focuses on evaluating the unconfined compressive strength (UCS) of improved fine-grained soils. A large database of unconfined compressive strength of clayey soil specimens stabilized with fly ash and blast furnace slag based geopolymer were collected and analyzed. Subsequently, using adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), a model has been developed to assess the UCS of stabi...

in this research the effect of randomly reinforced soil and soil cement with different percent of cement and fiber and different length of fiber was investigated. samples were prepared according to the maximum dry unit weight and optimum water content due to the corresponding compaction curves. compressive and tensile strength were conducted on samples for different curing times. regression equ...
متن کاملMeasurement of Compressive and Tensile Strength of Ice-silicate Mixtures
Introduction: Understanding the impact process of ice-silicate mixtures is of importance, because water ices exist mostly in a variety of forms of mixtures with silicate or some other components (e.g. ammonia) in the solar system. Decrease of crater volume with increasing silicate content was observed in our previous impact cratering experiments of ice-silicate mixture targets performed using a...
